It is not a secret that it is a hard time to be an adolescent right now. Smart phones and social media have changed how teens are interacting with each other, which has a big impact on how teens today are seeing themselves.
My specialty is working with teenagers who are 13 and older. I work hard to give teens the space to share and work through the difficult things that are hard to talk about. We will find goals that you are interested in to start making life a bit easier for you.
Areas of work might include depression, anxiety, substance use, self-esteem, trauma, relational stress, perfectionism, and body image.

Coming out of adolescence can be a stressful time. There might not be another stage of life that includes as much change as this one. With friends being at different stages of life, it is easy to compare.
I enjoy working with folks as they begin to navigate their emerging adulthood stage that includes job, school, family, and relationships. Therapy can be a great option to work through both old and new stress.

As a dual diagnosis therapist, I believe that you can't talk about addiction without talking about mental health. My therapy focuses less on what is being abused and instead focuses on why the person feels they need it. By figuring out what the need is, we can find new ways to get the need met in a more helpful way.
If there is an instance where the person needs more care then meeting one time per week, they might be referred to intensive outpatient.
I work with folks of all ages wanting to work on addiction concerns.
